Please read this acknowledgement, waiver, and release from liability carefully
before continuing with your online entry:

DECLARATION:
1. I, the undersigned, in consideration of and as a condition of acceptance of my entry in the 1km CRONULLA BEACH SWIM and/or the 2.3km CRONULLA SHARK ISLAND SWIM “the swim” for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators, hereby waive all and any claim, right or course of action which I or they might otherwise have for or arising out of loss or injury, damage or loss of any description whatsoever which, I may suffer or sustain in the course of or consequent upon my entry or participation in the said event.
2. The waiver, release and discharge shall be and operate separately in favour of all persons, corporations and bodies involved or otherwise engaged in the promoting or staging of “the swim” and the servants, agents, representatives and officers and any of them and includes, but is not limited to, Cronulla Surf Lifesaving Club Incorporated, Sutherland Shire Council, the N.S.W. Police Department, any officials, marshalls, medical and para-medical practitioners, the N.S.W. Ambulance Service or any other person involved in the staging, organisation or administration of “the swim”, and shall operate whether or not the loss, injury, or damage is attributable to the act or neglect of anyone or more of them.
3. I hereby acknowledge that I will abide by the rules as advised to me by the organisers.
4. I hereby acknowledge that I have sole responsibility for my personal possessions and equipment during “the swim” and its related activities.
5. I hereby attest and verify that I am physically fit and have sufficiently trained for this competition.
6. I hereby consent to receive medical treatment which may be deemed advisable in the event of injury, accident and/or illness during “the swim”.
7. I hereby consent to the publication of or use in any form of media whatsoever of my name, photograph, image, statements or otherwise in any context pertaining to “the swim” or otherwise before, during or after “the swim” whether for advertising, promotion or otherwise.
8. Entry fees will not be refunded if entrants are unable to compete on race day or the event(s) are postponed or cancelled.
9. I hereby acknowledge that “the swim” is run on the basis of goodwill, and that in all matters, the decision of the Organising Committee is final. The organisers reserve the right to decline any entry without stating a reason and may disqualify any competitor who fails to comply with any reasonable request or direction from the organisers.
10. I understand that the Cronulla SLSC will use an electronic timing tag for timing all entrants in “the swim” and this will entail the issuing of the device on loan to me and wearing of the device by me via an ankle band. I undertake to return this timing device as soon as I have completed (or withdrawn from) “the swim” and to pay Cronulla SLSC an amount of $55.00 (including GST) if I fail to return the said device at the finish of (or upon earlier withdrawal from)”the swim”.

I will not enter and participate unless I am medically able and properly trained, and by selecting the "AGREE" button, I certify that I am medically able to perform this event, and am in good health, and I am properly trained.
